i wonder how long it would take me to walk back home from here
sometimes i miss the subways and their messes enough to ride the train back and forth
i call you just to hear the rumble in the background

you know how soft i can get so i ask you please don't leave your imprints
hang up quickly so i can learn how to breathe again
